That used to bother me a little. And then I actually started paying attention to why.

Psychic ability isn’t a tap you turn on to extract whatever information you want whenever you want it. It works through connection. Emotional charge. Human need. Purpose. When someone sits across from me or connects with me virtually, there’s a person there. A story. Grief they haven’t been able to put words to. A decision they can’t see clearly. A question that has been sitting in their chest for months. That’s what creates the signal. That’s what gives the information something to attach to and move through.

A set of lottery numbers doesn’t have any of that. There’s no person, no story, no emotional weight. Nothing that has mattered to anyone in a human way. Just digits drawn by a machine. The gift doesn’t know what to do with that because there’s genuinely nothing there to read. When your intent is purely self-serving, no reciprocity, no purpose, no growth, no exchange, just wanting something for nothing, you’re operating entirely inside your own head. The calculating, conscious, human part of you that is just trying to get something. There’s no connection outward. No one else’s experience to reach toward. No reason for the information to move anywhere because it has nowhere to go.

The gift lives in the connective space between you and another person, another need, another purpose. Close that circuit inward and there’s nothing for it to reach. It doesn’t route that way.

Let’s Be Clear About the Line Here, I Need to Be Completely Transparent

I use my gifts every day. I make my living doing this work. Being paid for what I bring to a session isn’t self-serving. That’s reciprocity. Service given, value received. An exchange. The person across from me is actively working on something, trying to understand something, moving through something real. The purpose is genuine and it’s mutual.

The lottery is something entirely different. It’s bypass. Skip to the result with nothing asked of you. No growth, no accountability, no exchange, no purpose beyond the money. And what I’ve found, consistently, every time I’ve tested the edges of this, is that the gift simply doesn’t operate there. Not as a punishment. Not as a moral verdict on wanting financial security. More like a mechanical reality built into how the whole thing works.

You can’t use something that exists in service to other people to serve only yourself. The design quite frankly won’t allow it.

I think this question gets handled badly. Either people get defensive or they brush it off with something vague. Neither response is useful. Neither is honest. It’s also kind of a waste because the real answer is actually very interesting.

The honest answer is that this question reveals the entire mechanics of how psychics work in a single exchange. It isn’t magic. It isn’t prediction on demand. It isn’t an information vending machine. It works through genuine human connection. Through real emotional weight. Through someone actively engaged in their own life, not looking for a shortcut around it.

The clearest information I’ve ever received in a session came when someone was deep in it. Processing loss. Standing at a genuine crossroads. Wrestling with something they couldn’t name but couldn’t stop feeling. Not looking for a lucky number. Looking for clarity on something that actually mattered.

The Signal is Always Strongest Where the Human Need is Real

That’s not a convenient excuse and it’s not defensive positioning. It’s what I experience, consistently, every time I’ve worked near the edges of this. The gift tracks toward purpose.
