What To Actually Expect From A Reading With Me

Let me just be upfront with you – a reading with me probably looks a little different than what you’re imagining.

Before we do anything else I tell you exactly how I work. No mystery, no dramatic setup. Just me explaining what you’re about to experience so you can relax into it.

I’m a psychic medium. That means I pick up impressions – things happening around you, things you’ve been through, glimpses of what’s ahead. Think of it less like fortune telling and more like hyper-aware common sense that really isn’t that common.

I’ll ask if you’re comfortable with me connecting to loved ones in spirit. They tend to show up anyway – usually to offer support or guidance – but if that’s not something you want, I stop that outlet immediately. Your comfort is non-negotiable.

Then I’ll ask you to pick a deck.

I’m a lover of art – hence all the tattoos – and I use tarot the way you’d use a table of contents in a book. It shows me how pieces fit together, sometimes confirms timelines, and gives you something visual to ground into while I work. Especially if you’re new to this, pulling things out of thin air can feel a little unnerving. The cards give us both a place to start.

The way I receive information feels similar to a memory – familiar, sometimes detailed, sometimes fragmented. The emotion attached to it determines how clear the picture gets. It varies. But when it comes in solid, it comes in solid… rooted like an oak. I can’t always tell you where it comes from. Honestly that still surprises me too.

I don’t need much from you. Keep things conversational. The more relaxed you are the easier it is for me to grasp the details. If you have questions keep them broad. If you tell me something specific and I pick up something similar I’ll question whether I was influenced by what you said, so I tend to throw those out entirely. I’d rather start clean.

What surprises people most I think are the specifics.

I’ve had clients sit across from me and flat out argue with something I said – only to call me later and tell me it happened exactly as I described, detail by detail. I joke that those are my favorite words. I always laugh because I’m genuinely not sure how I’m supposed to react. I’m confident in my gifts but it still can be a little unsettling. So, where does it come from exactly? I question that constantly. The more I learn the more questions I have.

I’ve sat with this question for most of my life and I still don’t have a clean answer. Some of it comes from loved ones in spirit – I can feel the difference, there’s a personality attached, a familiarity that doesn’t belong to me. Some of it comes from somewhere else entirely. Something older. Something I can only describe as knowing without knowing how I know. My faith is eclectic and deeply personal, and I don’t subscribe to one tidy explanation because I don’t think one exists. What I do know is that it’s real. It’s consistent. And it’s never mine to keep – it always belongs to the person sitting across from me.

When you leave I want you to feel a little lighter than when you walked in. Connected. Like you have a sense of direction you didn’t have before. The delivery matters just as much as the message – I’m not going to drop something heavy on you without helping you hold it.
